Sharpe Pritchard bolsters litigation team with public and administrative law partner
Sharpe Pritchard has appointed public and administrative law specialist George McLellan as a partner in its litigation department.
The firm said McLellan, who joins from DLA Piper, would further enhance its capabilities in supporting claimants in judicial review and public procurement challenges, witnesses and participants in public inquiries, and advising businesses and public authorities on lawful decision-making.
He has previously supported clients operating in sectors including energy, aviation, rail, life sciences, defence, financial services, advertising, food & beverage, consumer goods, construction products, sport, media and entertainment.
McLellan said: “I am excited to have joined a firm with such a leading position in the market, which includes both an impressive client base and breadth of experience.”
Justin Mendelle, Senior Partner at Sharpe Pritchard, said: “George is an excellent addition to our team at Sharpe Pritchard LLP.
“He comes with an excellent reputation, and his expertise in the area of public and administrative law complements our existing team and will further enhance our offering to our clients.”
George’s appointment follows the recent addition of Jonathan Blunden, Legal Director, to the firm, also from DLA Piper.
“Together, their arrival reinforces Sharpe Pritchard’s status as the leading destination for public and procurement law experts and affirms its dedicated commitment to delivering the highest quality advice and support to its clients,” Sharpe Pritchard said.
