Riverview Law and DMH Stallard seal strategic alliance

Riverview Law, the fixed-price legal services business, and South East law firm DMH Stallard have signed a strategic alliance.

The alliance will cover a range of areas including dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, and property.

The two sides, which road-tested the approach prior to entering the alliance, said they would be launching fixed-fee services and products combining their expertise over the coming months.

Riverview Law – which provides legal services through Riverview Solicitors and members of Riverview Chambers – also confirmed that it had submitted an application last month to become an alternative business structure.

Karl Chapman, chief executive of Riverview Law, says: “From the very first meeting it became clear that DMH Stallard has, over many years, been moving in the same direction we are taking Riverview Law. After we had met all the DMH Stallard partners, it was also clear that there is a strong cultural fit."

He added: “We have both reached the same conclusions, albeit from different starting points, about how legal services should be delivered to benefit customers.”

Tim Aspinall, managing partner of DMH Stallard, said: “Having watched Riverview Law’s rapid progress, we approached them when it became clear they were seeking a like-minded law firm ally to help them to deliver against customer demand in some complex and specialist areas.”
