Scottish local authorities name 12 law firms to £4m framework

Twelve law firms have won places on a £4m legal services framework agreement advising almost half of the local authorities in Scotland.

The contracting authority, Glasgow City Council, set up the agreement on behalf of itself and 14 other councils.

They are: South Ayrshire Council; East Renfrewshire Council; North Ayrshire Council; Argyll and Bute Council; Dundee City Council; Fife Council; Highland Council; Aberdeen City Council; City of Edinburgh Council; Scottish Borders Council; Orkney Islands Council; Shetland Islands Council; Dumfries and Galloway Council; and Falkirk Council,

The wide-ranging framework agreement covers “Education Prosecutions, Advice and representation on all aspects of Employment Law and its implications, Corporate Law, Infrastructure, Energy and the Environment Law, General Conveyancing, Project Conveyancing, Pensions, Reparation, General Litigation & Court of Session.”
