The contract will see nplaw drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements with developers, on behalf of Maldon, for large scale and strategic planning applications submitted for sites allocated under the local authority's Local Development Plan.

Victoria McNeill, nplaw Practice Director, said: "We are delighted to have won this contract.  Section 106 agreements are vitally important instruments for mitigating the effect of proposed developments on local areas and we are very much looking forward to working with Maldon District Council to secure the best possible outcomes for their communities."

Cllr Mrs Maddie Thompson, Vice-Chairman of Maldon’s Planning and Licensing Committee, said; "Following a thorough procurement process we have awarded the contract to nplaw. We have confidence that nplaw will provide Maldon with a robust service for a competitive price. Their assistance in delivering section 106 agreements is an important part of our Local Development Plan process.”

Maldon kicked off the tender in June this year.
