Bond Dickinson bolsters public procurement team with new legal director

Bond Dickinson has strengthened its EU procurement and state aid team with the hire of Kathrine Eddon as a Legal Director.

Eddon, who will be based primarily in the firm’s Newcastle office, joins from Pinsent Masons, where she headed the Birmingham Public Procurement team.

Before joining Pinsents, she gained a Masters in EU Law at the College of Europe in Bruges before going on to work at the European Commission in Brussels.

Eddon has more than 15 years’ experience as a procurement law specialist, acting for UK central government departments, local authorities, universities, police and fire authorities and NHS hospitals, as well as suppliers.

Kevin Robertson, partner and head of the Bond Dickinson’s Projects & Procurement Team, said: "We are delighted to have recruited a candidate of Kathrine's calibre into our growing team. She has impeccable EU and procurement credentials and is internationally recognised as a procurement specialist. Kathrine is a fantastic addition to our team, and will bring her wealth of experience to supporting Bond Dickinson’s existing and future clients.”
