About the speakers:

Sue Chadwick

Sue is a planning solicitor with more than 25 years of experience working with local authorities and in private practice, including project management of the Grand Arcade retail regeneration of Cambridge City Centre. She currently works as a Strategic Planning Adviser with Pinsent Masons.

Sue has a PhD in planning law and the author of In my Backyard: A Practical Guide to Neighbourhood Plans (Law Brief Publishing). Her previous academic experience includes lecturing in planning law for Cambridge University and she currently delivers training for the Local Government Group of the Law Society. She has just completed a Research Fellowship with the Open Data Institute and published a paper with them: Digital planning and its implications_Aug 2021

Stephen Morgan
 

Stephen was awarded an MA in Environmental Planning (RTPI certified course) following which he has always practised at the Bar in planning and related subjects. His experience, both as adviser and advocate, covers the range of planning and related topics, including major infrastructure projects and in particular waste and energy facilities; his work covers the regulatory aspects (under the various regimes and Directives) as well as the planning issues.

This also includes extensive experience of village greens and neighbourhood planning, in which he has a special interest. Stephen also regularly takes part in professional webinars, writing articles and contributing to various planning related publications/resources.
