Scottish council seeks external legal provider for £910,000 contract

Stirling Council
is looking to appoint an external legal services provider to a £910,000 contract supporting its in-house lawyers.

The successful provider will be expected to complement the authority's in-house legal team “by providing support in specialist areas of law (eg employment law, judicial review, commercial projects) and to cope with peaks in demand”.

The arrangement will only be in place to meet Stirling’s own needs; the council is not purchasing on behalf of other contracting authorities.

The appointment will be made on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender in terms of quality (weighting: 40) and price (weighting 60).
