Lambeth and Southwark to re-procure £12-24m barristers framework

The London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark have announced plans to re-procure their barristers framework, which is estimated to be worth between £12m and £24m over four years.

The boroughs said successful bidders would provide advocacy and legal advice services needed by the councils in the operations of their functions.

Applications are invited from barristers and solicitors who have attained higher rights of audience in accordance with the Solicitors Higher Rights of Audience Regulations 2010.

The closing date is 23 February 2016. The contract start date is 1 August 2016 and the end date is 31 July 2020.

Southwark and Lambeth appointed 31 sets of chambers in December 2011, the last time they procured the framework. This agreement was estimated at the time to be worth £10.4m.
