Tyne & Wear PTE selects law firm for new Metro concession

The Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive, which trades as Nexus, has appointed law firm DLA Piper to advise on the letting of the new Metro concession.

The appointment is to cover support in relation to all aspects of the letting, “including (but not limited to) advice on the operational requirements of the New Concession and the procurement of rolling stock during its lifetime”.

Nexus said it had received five offers for the contract.
