Places for People to set up legal services framework agreement

One of the largest property management, development and regeneration providers in the UK, Places for People, is to set up a legal services framework.

Places for People has a stock portfolio of more than 148,000 properties (owned or managed) and works with more than 200 local authority partners.

Members of its existing procurement hubs include housing groups and local authorities, collectively managing over 850,000 properties across the UK with more than £10m of works and services commissioned since 2010.

The framework will be divided into the following lots:

  • Lot 1 – Property
  • Lot 2 – Development
  • Lot 3 – Corporate & Finance
  • Lot 4 – Employment
  • Lot 5 – Housing Management
  • Lot 6 – General Commercial
  • Lot 7 – Leisure Management
  • Lot 8 – Healthcare
  • Lot 9 – Compliance & Governance
  • Lot 10 – Multi-Facet (can deliver in two or more lots)

Places for People said: “It is important that providers must be able to deliver all the scope of services in each of the…..lots they are bidding for on a national basis.” [its emphasis]

The duration of the agreement is expected to be four years.

It added: “The principle of the Legal Services Framework is to package a series of services that Places for People as well as other contracting authority clients require and market the services ensuring quality and value for money allowing a range of contracting authorities to join the framework and get best value legal services.

“The framework can be joined by contracting authorities and stream-lines processes for members of the framework, reducing time and expense incurred in such procurement processes.”
