University purchasing consortia to combine to set up £70m legal advice panel

Five university purchasing consortia have issued a prior information notice on plans to establish a £70m national framework agreement for legal services.

The London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), which published the PIN, said it was also purchasing on behalf of the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium, the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium, the Higher Education Purchasing Consortium Wales and the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium.

The £70m spend is an estimate based on historical spend in this service area. “It may vary considerably up or down,” LUPC said.

A supplier engagement event is to take place in London this week (10 August). The procurement is to be a restricted tender procedure.
