South West housing association to set up £600k legal panel

Selwood Housing Group, which is based in Wiltshire and Somerset, is to procure a legal services framework worth nearly £600,000 over four years.

The group said it planned to select a number of operators to be on its panel for the provision of legal services under four lots:

  1. Construction and procurement (estimated value: £405,000).
  2. Housing management (£100,000).
  3. Funding (£40,000).
  4. Governance (£40,000).

Selwood said the number of providers on the panel would depend on the relative strength of the individual bids that it received. It does not have a pre-determined quota for the number of firms on the panel.

The group, which has more than 6,000 homes, is made up of Selwood Housing, Silcoa, The Learning Curve, Selwood Devco and Cottsbury Homes, as well as the Selwood Lifeline brand.

In 2012 Selwood appointed three firms - Trowers & Hamlins, Winckworth Sherwood and Coffin Mew – to its panel.
