National park to hire contractors for legal services and monitoring officer duties

A national park authority is to procure a contractor or contractors to provide legal services and fulfil monitoring officer duties in a contract worth £150-200,000 over four years.

The South Downs National Park Authority said it was seeking to “engage a contractor who is able to provide quality legal services and advice with particular expertise in planning and local government legislation and issues (Lot 1).

“The contract also includes the duties of The Monitoring Officer which is a statutory appointment pursuant to Section 5 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (Lot 2).”

Suppliers are invited to bid for one or both lots.

The contract is due to start on 29 June 2017 and run until 30 June 2020.
