Tender launched for £2.55m legal advice on electricity project
A procurement exercise has begun for legal advice worth £2.55m on a proposed subsea electricity interconnector to connect the UK and Germany.
NeuConnect, the company behind the scheme, has structured the tender into several lots:
- Regulation, Competition and Energy advice
- Commercial and Offshore/Onshore construction advice
- Property, planning and consents advice
- Project structuring, financing and investment advice
The contract for legal advice is expected to begin on 1 May 2017 and run until 30 April 2025.
The anticipated capacity of NeuConnect is 1.4GW and it will have a total cable length of some 650km.
