NHS procurement body chooses 12 law firms for £50m legal services panel

The North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) has appointed 12 law firms to a £50m legal services framework for NHS organisations.

The firms selected are:

  1. Bevan Brittan
  2. Browne Jacobson
  3. Capsticks LLP
  4. Cater Leydon Millard
  5. DAC Beachcroft
  6. Hempsons
  7. Hill Dickinson
  8. Kennedys
  9. Mills and Reeve
  10. Sintons
  11. Ward Hadaway
  12. Weightmans

The NoE CPC, which is hosted by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, said the appointed firms were all able to meet a broad range of NHS/healthcare needs for legal services, including: NHS Governance and Public Law; Healthcare Law; Mental Health Law; Employment Law; Contract and Commercial Law; Property Law; and Corporate Finance and PFI.

It added that the framework agreement was “the output of a robust OJEU compliant procurement process, which enables participating organisations to demonstrate both compliance and value for money”.

Bevan Brittan partner Michael Boyd, who is head of the firm's Leeds office and will lead the NOE CPC relationship, said: “We are very pleased to have been appointed to the panel. Having opened our Leeds office 18 months ago, we have established good relationships with a variety of NHS organisations across Yorkshire, Humberside and the North East. This panel appointment is a great opportunity for us to build on that and extend our client relationships further, serving the needs of NHS bodies right across the region.”
