Gowling WLG and Bevan Brittan win key roles for one of UK’s largest social landlords

One of the UK’s largest social landlords, Sanctuary Housing Association, has appointed four law firms to a legal services framework worth up to an estimated £25m and covering England and Scotland.

Sanctuary, which has more than 70,000 homes in England alone, divided the four-year contract into the following lots:

  1. England - Property and Construction (including property litigation);
  2. England - Conveyancing;
  3. England - Housing and housing litigation (including regulatory advice);
  4. England - Contracts, commercial, IT, procurement and health and safety;
  5. England - Corporate, banking, finance, securitisation and tax;
  6. England - Employment and pensions.
  7. Scotland - Property and Construction (including property litigation);
  8. Scotland - Housing and housing litigation (including regulatory advice);
  9. Scotland - Contracts, commercial, procurement and health and safety;
  10. Scotland - Corporate, banking, finance, securitisation and tax;
  11. Scotland - Employment and pensions
  12. Isle of Man – Legal and Company Secretarial

The following firms were selected:

  • Gowling WLG (Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
  • Bevan Brittan LLP (Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6)
  • Burness Paull (Lots 7, 9, 10, 11)
  • Harper Macleod (Lot 7,8, 9, 10, 11)

In relation to lot 12 (the Isle of Man), no tenders or requests to participate were received or all were rejected.
