Scottish councils appoint ten firms to £2m legal panel
A group of Scottish councils has named ten law firms to a legal services panel worth an estimated £2m.
The local authorities involved are: Glasgow City Council; South Ayrshire Council; East Renfrewshire Council; Argyll and Bute Council; and North Ayrshire Council.
The framework agreement was divided into the following lots:
- Education prosecution.
- Employment.
- Corporate.
- General Litigation.
- Children and Families.
- General conveyancing.
The successful firms were:
- Anderson Strathern (Lots 1, 3, 5, 6)
- Brodies (3)
- Burness Paull (3, 6)
- JK Cameron (5)
- Clyde & Co (2, 4)
- DLA Piper (3, 6)
- Harper Macleod (2, 3, 4, 6)
- MacRoberts (2)
- Morton Fraser (4, 5)
- Shepherd and Wedderburn (6)
Last October Glasgow and North Lanarkshire were among four Scottish local authorities to appoint eight law firms to another £2m legal services framework agreement.
That framework was divided into the following lots: Land & Property; State Aid, Competition, Vires and Judicial Review; Infrastructure and Projects; Contentious Construction; and Rail related Infrastructure and Projects.
