London borough fires gun on procurement of £25m legal services panel

The London Borough of Lambeth has unveiled plans for a legal services framework worth an estimated £25m over four years.

The contract has been divided into the following lots:

1.    Property, Planning and Commercial.
2.    Debt Collection.

The framework will be accessible by other London local authorities.

Lambeth said it envisaged a maximum number of five participants to the framework agreement.

The council’s announcement comes shortly after Southwark Council, which has co-operated with Lambeth on legal services procurements in the past, announced it would hold a soft market testing exercise for a £18-25m framework agreement.

That framework will be made available to other interested London local authorities, their wholly owned companies, London fire services and London clinical commissioning groups.
