Council names four firms to £1.54m insurance legal services contract

Norfolk County Council has appointed four law firms to a contract to provide legal services to its in-house insurance team.

Legal representation is required by the insurance team to predominately help support the delivery of the claims service, the local authority said.

The contract, which is worth an estimated £1.54m, was awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 70) and price (weighting: 30).

The successful firms were:

  • BLM
  • Browne Jacobson LLP
  • Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP
  • Plexus Law

The initial framework term is 24 months. At the council's discretion the framework may be extended by up to 24 months.
