Major social landlord to procure new legal services panel

A major social housing provider with more than 52,000 homes under management is to procure a new legal services framework agreement to replaces its existing arrangements.

The Riverside Group provides affordable housing, care and support services in England and Scotland.

It has divided the agreement into the following lots:

  1. Property and Development.
  2. Non-property including Governance, Commercial and Employment.
  3. Corporate Finance and Banking.
  4. Housing Management.

The term of the framework agreement will be for three years with an option to extend for up to 12 months. The value of the agreement has not been set out.

The Riverside Group said it intended to appoint law firms to each lot “who are capable of providing high quality legal advice and who can assist TRGL to reduce its legal spend.

“It is an objective of this tender that TRGL will achieve better value, enhanced service delivery and more efficient management of matters outsourced to external law firms.”
