Liverpool to engage with suppliers for corporate professional services framework

Liverpool City Council is to undertake supplier engagement ahead of the procurement of a framework agreement covering corporate professional services including legal.

The framework will be made available for use by the city council and associated named partners including other Merseyside local authorities.

Liverpool said the supplier engagement would “help define and develop our Procurement Strategy and support in the development of our service specification”.

Those interested in the opportunity have been asked to complete a capability assessment by 9 November 2018.

“The aim of this capability assessment is to gauge interest in this opportunity and to understand local and national capability and capacity to deliver these types of services to the local authority over the next 3-5 years,” the local authority said.

“This will support Liverpool City Council in putting together the lot structure for our Local Framework and will hopefully provide the council with a controlled and measured route to market for these services that provides overall quality and value for money.”

A supplier day – to be used as a meet and greet day and which will provide the council with the opportunity of discussing the proposed lot structure and scope of the agreement – will be held in November.”

The contract, which also covers finance-related services and consultancy, is expected to start on 1 May 2019 and run until 1 May 2023.
