Post Office names six law firms to £39m legal services framework

The Post Office has named six law firms to a £39m framework agreement for legal services in the UK.

The framework was divided into the following lots:

  1. Strategic: strategic work across all of Post Office practice areas and across all UK jurisdictions. "This work is likely to be highly complex and or high value and or strategic work, including by way of example strategic corporate work."
  2. General legal services: General legal work across all Post Office's practice areas and across all UK jurisdictions, including some volume work.

The successful firms were:

  • Ashfords (lot 2)
  • DAC Beachcroft (2)
  • Linklaters (1)
  • Norton Rose Fulbright (1)
  • Pinsent Masons (1, 2)
  • Womble Bond Dickinson (2)

The lots were awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 70) and price (weighting: 30).

The contract started on 1 April 2019 and runs until 31 March 2023 with two options to extend each for 12 months.
