Government names 11 firms to framework supplying costs lawyer services to public sector

UPDATED: The Crown Commercial Service has appointed 11 suppliers to a framework agreement for the provision to the public sector of costs lawyer services potentially worth up to £64m.

The CCS divided the framework into  three lots:

  1. Costs Lawyer Services (worth an estimated £19.78m; 30 tenders received).
  2. Clinical Negligence Specialist Services: (£41.7m; 21 tenders received). As the chosen supplier the firm is expected to “support the delivery of the strategic objectives to reduce the rate of growth in claim costs and to reduce unnecessary costs attached to claims”; and
  3. Security Clearance Specialist Services: (£2.5m; 21 tenders received).

The framework period is for 24 months with option to extend for 2 periods of 12 months.

The contract was awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 70) and price (weighting: 30).
