Scottish Government issues prior information notice on next legal services framework

The Scottish Procurement & Property Directorate (SPPD) has issued a prior information notice in relation to plans for a replacement framework for the provision of legal services to the Scottish central government sector.

The framework is expected to be divided into the following lots:

  1. Contract, Commercial and Corporate Law
  2. Debt Recovery
  3. Litigation, Reparation, Employment and Inquiries
  4. Major Infrastructure and Commercial Projects (and related Litigation)
  5. Property and Related Matters
  6. One Stop Shop

The estimated date of publication of the contract notice is 14 November 2022.

The SPPD said: “Work has commenced in developing the procurement strategy options including canvassing of stakeholders views. In order to complete and finalise the strategy, SPPD recognises the value of suppliers having the opportunity to contribute to this process on a non-competitive, non-judgemental basis.

“This request for information is aimed at collating those views from market participants. This information may be utilised in developing the procurement strategy to help deliver contractual arrangements for Legal Services.”

Suppliers and other interested parties are asked to read the 'Supplementary Information' document attached in the 'Additional Documents' section of the PIN. They are then asked to complete a Request for Information Online Questionnaire.

The questionnaire will be available for all interested parties until 29 July 2022.

The current Legal Services Framework is due to expire on 31 July 2023.
