Coram Chambers names public law barristers as joint heads of chambers

Coram Chambers has appointed Mark Twomey QC and Alison Easton as its new Joint Heads of Chambers.

Easton has been with Coram Chambers since its formation 21 years ago and was appointed as a Recorder in 2018. She has also been the Head of its Business Development and Marketing group for the last four years.

This will be Twomey’s second term as Joint Head of Chambers.

Twomey said: “We are delighted that Alison has agreed to serve as joint Head of Chambers. She was the obvious choice for members and has our full support as she embarks on this new role. Alison was Chair of our Executive Board from 2014 to 2017 and, in that post, gained the trust and admiration of members. She is a very able senior member of the Family Bar and exemplifies all that is good about Coram Chambers.”

Commenting on its outgoing Joint Head of Chambers, Martha Cover, the set said: “Martha has been an outstanding leader and has led us successfully through growth, change and the challenge brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. We thank her for her tireless dedication to our interests and for the excellent work that she did during her tenure. She will continue to practise from Coram Chambers.”
