Experienced social housing and property practitioner joins Five Paper

Simon Strelitz, a housing and property practitioner with 20 years’ experience in the work undertaken by the Property Division, has joined Five Paper.

He returns to the self-employed Bar after working in employed practice at Capsticks and Clarke Willmott.

Strelitz will strengthen Five Paper’s Property Division – Social Housing, Real Property, L&T and Public Law practice groups.

Rachel Sleeman, Head of Chambers, said: “Simon’s recruitment to Five Paper provides even greater strength and depth to our leading group of specialist property practitioners at Five Paper. I fully expect that someone with his knowledge and experience to be in high demand from our clients very quickly.”

Strelitz said: “I am delighted to be joining Five Paper today. When I took the decision to return to the self-employed bar, seeking to join Five Paper was the natural choice for me: our values align and I have known and worked with many of members of the Property Division for more than a decade – both during my time at my former specialist housing and property Chambers, and whilst working as in ‘in-house barrister’ in the Housing and Asset Management teams at two Top 100 law firms.

“Seeing things from ‘the other side of the fence’ has afforded me the opportunity to see first-hand not only the top quality and responsive service provided by members of Chambers across the board but also how important the efficiency, attentiveness and unwaveringly helpful attitude of the clerking and admin team led by David Portch is in enabling members to provide that high quality service and client care.”
