The University of Essex has selected 11 law firms for a seven-lot legal services framework worth an estimated £63m.

The framework is divided into the following lots:

  1. One Stop Shop
  2. Human Resources, Pensions and People
  3. Academy Conversion and Post Conversion Services
  4. Property
  5. Commercial – Contracts, Procurement Governance and related matters
  6. Dispute Resolution and Litigation
  7. Education (including Universities and Higher Education)

  • Freeths (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7)
  • HCR Legal (7)
  • JG Poole & Co (1, 5, 6, 7)
  • Shakespeare Martineau (7)
  • Stone King (3, 7)
  • Weightmans (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

The framework will be open for use by all contracting authorities across the public sector throughout the UK.
