Trowers to open in Birmingham in social housing push

Trowers and Hamlins is to open a Birmingham office next month that will initially focus on social housing before expanding into other practice areas.

The new office will be led by housing projects senior partner Sara Bailey. She will work with London partner Jeremy Hunt and with Rebecca McGuirk and Yetunde Dania, who have joined as partners from Shoosmiths.

Senior partner Jonathan Adlington said: “It’s important that we respond to the changing needs of the market. Many of our clients based in London and the south east are looking to their lawyers to deliver a more cost-effective service for some of their work and utilising regional offices is one of the ways we can achieve this.

“Having researched the market and in response to the needs of our clients, we know that can deliver a more bespoke and cost-effective service by being based in the region.”

Trowers already has offices in London, Exeter and Manchester as well as five in the Middle East.
