David Connolly to act as interim Housing Ombudsman as Fowler departs
- Details
David Connolly is to act as the interim Housing Ombudsman from the beginning of next month whilst recruitment for a permanent post-holder to replace Denise Fowler takes place.
Connolly’s appointment will be effective from 5 June 2017. He is currently assistant ombudsman at the Local Government Ombudsman.
In March Fowler announced that she was to join Women’s Pioneer Housing, a housing association in London, as its new chief executive.
She has been Housing Ombudsman since March 2015. During her time in office, the number of complaints investigated in year has increased by more than 50% and an inherited backlog of old cases has been removed.
