Scottish housing association to appoint provider to £700k legal services contract

A Scottish housing association is to appoint a single provider to a legal services contract worth an estimated £700,000 over five years.
Argyll Community Housing Association is a registered social landlord providing more than 5,000 affordable homes for rent in Argyll and Bute.
It said it was seeking to appoint a company to manage all its legal service requirements for the period April 2020 to March 2025.
The successful provider will advise the housing association and its subsidiaries on the following: Corporate and contracts law, charity and company law, governance and regulation, construction and procurement law, employment law, health and safety law including tribunal representation, data Protection (GDPR) and freedom of information law, housing law, insurance, banking and finance law, land and property law, conveyancing and remedial conveyancing property investment law, development and regeneration law, heritable property recovery and debt recovery, shared equity, general litigation and general legal advice.
The contract will be awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 40) and price (weighting: 60).
