Procurement group fires gun on legal services framework worth up to £20m

Member-owned procurement body Communities and Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC) is to procure a legal services framework estimated to be worth between £11m and £20m over four years.
The framework has been divided into the following lots:
- Lot 1: Corporate, Governance and Finance
- Lot 2: Housing and Asset Management
- Lot 3: Development
- Lot 4: Property
The closing date is 26 February 2024 (closing time: 4:05pm).
The contract is due to start on 1 July 2024 and end on 31 July 2028.
CHIC’s 200-plus members are primarily housing associations and local authorities, but there are also organisations in the health and education sectors.
In June 2022 CHIC appointed 22 law firms to its current framework, which was estimated to be worth £15m at the time.
