City council to set up £800k panel for insurance claims handling
- Details
Sheffield City Council is to procure an £800,000 framework agreement for the provision of legal services for insurance claims handling.
The local authority said it required specialist external legal support to handle, investigate and administer litigated liability and motor claims.
“Some pre-litigated cases are also handled by external legal partners dependent on the complexity of the issues of the case or in peak periods of workflow for the internal team. Pre-litigation claims are most usually Social Care and Disease,” it added.
The contract is expected to start on 1 December 2017 and run until 30 November 2021.
