Planning and family judges appointed to Court of Appeal

The lead judge to the Planning Court and a senior Family Division judge are among four new Lord Justices of Appeal.
Mr Justice Holgate has been the Planning Liaison Judge since 2017. He was appointed as a High Court judge to the King’s Bench Division in 2014 and was authorised to sit in the Chancery Division in 2022. He is a previous joint head of Landmark Chambers.
Mr Justice Cobb was appointed as a High Court Judge in 2013 and assigned to the Family Division.
Also appointed to the Court of Appeal are Mr Justice Jeremy Baker of the King’s Bench Division and Mr Justice Zacaroli, Supervising Judge for the Business and Property Courts, Midlands, West and Wales Circuits.
The appointments will fill vacancies within the Court of Appeal.
