Norfolk County Council has issued a preliminary market engagement notice on its plans to let a multi-provider framework agreement for the provision of specialist support for pension legal services primarily in the support of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

The notice was issued on Norfolk’s own behalf and on behalf of a range of pension funds including LGPS Central, Local Pensions Partnership Investments, City of Wolverhampton Council (as Administering Authority of the West Midlands Pension Fund) and Staffordshire County Council (as Administering Authority for Staffordshire Pension Fund).

The notice has also been issued on behalf of City of Edinburgh Council (as Administering Authority for Lothian Pension Fund) and the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers' Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC).

The framework, which is worth an estimated £48m, will be split into lots.

It is expected to run for eight years, from 18 January 2027 to 17 January 2035.

The engagement deadline is 1 June 2026.
