Council leads procurement of £11m+ legal services framework for LGPS advice

Norfolk County Council has launched the procurement of a £11.75m framework agreement for the provision of legal services primarily in support of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

The framework has been divided into the following lots:

1. Full service.
2. Full service (Scotland).
3. Full service (Northern Ireland).
4. Investment (UK wide).
5. Benefit Administration, Employer Bodies and Governance (England and Wales).
6. Benefit Administration, Employer Bodies and Governance (Scotland).
7. Benefit Administration, Employer Bodies and Governance (Northern Ireland).

The procurement is on Norfolk’s own behalf and on behalf of the City of Wolverhampton and City of Edinburgh Councils, Brunel Pensions Partnership, the Environment Agency and Local Pensions Partnership.

The framework agreement, which is to last for 48 months, is for the provision of legal services to administering authorities of LGPS and employer bodies within the respective funds on all aspects of the law and regulations applicable to them including specialist advisers in pensions and investment law.
