University looks to appoint single legal services provider to £2m contract
Aston University has given notice of its intention to appoint a single provider to a £2m legal services contract.
Aston said it was “seeking a single provider with demonstrable experience in the higher education sector who will:
- service all of Aston’s legal needs in the UK and overseas (as required);
- deliver cost certainty through clearly articulated pricing menus that draw on automation as required;
- provide a secure platform for all information including matters, documents and financials that delivers dashboard reporting;
- deliver a service provider who will provide good project management; and
- deliver added value services over the duration of the contract.”
The university said bidders would need to demonstrate that they can deliver legal advice services in the following areas:
- corporate;
- commercial;
- projects and Infrastructure;
- tax;
- real estate;
- construction;
- planning;
- employment;
- pensions;
- immigration; and
- dispute resolution.
A supplier briefing is due to be held from 10:00 to 11:00 on 29 April via Microsoft Teams.
The contract will be for a maximum of four years in total.
Aston University appointed three firms in 2016 to its current framework: DLA Piper; Mills & Reeve; and Pinsent Masons.
