Public procurement body to conduct early engagement on £100m legal services framework
- Details
Public sector procurement organisation YPO has said it hopes to establish an "easier route to market" for public sector bodies requiring legal services with the launch of a framework worth an estimated £100m.
In a 'future opportunity' notice, the organisation announced it is looking to conduct early supplier engagement for the framework.
The notice said: "[The] aim of the framework is to provide access to high-quality legal services for public sector organisations either on an ad hoc basis to provide support to in-house services or as standalone requirement."
It added that YPO requires engagement from suppliers to ensure it has a fit-for-purpose solution in place for customers to call off.
YPO is owned by 13 local authorities and provides a wide range of services to councils, from health and social care to corporate and financial services. It also supplies more than 30,000 schools with resources.
YPO will be holding pre-engagement supplier sessions from 1 to 23 December 2022.
The contract notice is scheduled to be published on 8 March 2023.
