Former Treasury Solicitor joins investigations and audits team at Matrix

Sir Paul Jenkins, the former Treasury Solicitor and Head of the Government Legal Department, has joined Matrix Chambers as an associate member.
Jenkins has been running his own independent consultancy since leaving the Treasury Solicitor’s Department (TSoL) in 2014.
He was Chief Executive and Permanent Secretary of TSol from 2006 to February 2014, and led the transition of the department to the unified Government Legal Department.
At Matrix he will be working in the set’s investigations and audits team, assisting governments and commercial organisations with reviews, investigations, audits and inquiries across a broad spectrum.
Jenkins will also work on issues concerning government relations, good governance and crisis management.
Lord Ken Macdonald QC, former Director of Public Prosecutions and member of Matrix, said: “Paul will be a great addition to our investigations and audit team, bringing a vast amount of experience to our well-established expertise. He and I were colleagues in Whitehall and I am really delighted to see him join Matrix.”
