Browne Jacobson boosts Birmingham healthcare offering with Charlton hire

Browne Jacobson has appointed Simon Charlton as a partner in the healthcare team in its Birmingham Office.

Charlton, who joins from Weightmans, has more than 22 years’ experience as a practising solicitor. He has worked with a wide range of NHS organisations, the National Health Service Litigation Authority and the private sector.

Since 2012 he has also acted as Assistant Coroner for Coventry and Warwickshire.

Browne Jacobson, whose health and social care team act for more than 50 NHS bodies, said: “Simon has acted on high profile medico legal matters at board level, advising on complex governance issues, information governance, regulatory matters, confidentiality and injunctions and has represented clients at inquests.”

Browne Jacobson now has 110 partners. It recently posted a record turnover of £64.3m for 2015/16.
