Doncaster's Miller elected as new president of Solace

The chief executive of Doncaster Council, Jo Miller, has been elected as the new president of Solace for a two-year term.

Miller received 174 votes (60.21%), while Luton Council chief executive Trevor Holden won 115 votes (39.79%). The 289 votes cast represented a 30% turnout of full Solace members eligible to vote.

Miller will replace Mark Rogers, chief executive of Birmingham City Council, when his term of office ends at the Solace AGM in Gateshead this week (12 October).
