About the speakers
Russell Harris QC
Russell Harris was called to the Bar in 1986 and took silk in 2003. In 1990, he accepted an invitation from Sir Frank Layfield to join his planning and environmental law chambers. Since that time he has specialised in planning and environmental work.
James Maurici QC
James Maurici was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1996. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2013. He practices in planning; environmental law; and public law. His practice regularly encompasses EU and international law. He was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2009 and practises in that jurisdiction also.
Heather practises primarily in planning and compulsory purchase, environmental and EU law. She is ranked in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500. She is also listed as one of the top five planning juniors in the Planning Law Survey 2020 and as one of the top three juniors under 35.
