North East council to set up childcare barristers framework agreement
- Details
Newcastle City Council has launched the procurement of a childcare barristers framework agreement.
The local authority said the agreement was intended to meet its own organisational and business needs as well as those of other councils.
Newcastle added that it was looking “for a commitment to prioritise the lead authority’s and other councils’ work” and that the aim was to “put in place productive partnering relationships with a panel of chambers of professional legal services to secure a value for money and quality service”.
The contract is expected to last two years, with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months. It is expected to start from 1 November 2012.
The end date for expressions of interest is 18 October.
