Judicial Appointments Commission seeks family law and crime volunteers to help with quality assurance tests

The Judicial Appointments Commission is inviting people with experience of the crime or family jurisdictions to help it with quality assurance of the qualifying tests for the District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) 2010 selection exercise.

It said that serving as a ‘mock’ candidate was “an extremely valuable opportunity for anyone considering applying for a judicial post in the future”.

The commission pilots qualifying, tests, role plays and mock interviews as part of this process.

Participants cannot apply for real in selection rounds where they have been a mock candidate but can apply in future or for other judicial selections.
