Join us for the third webinar in our Planning, Property and Power series, focusing on the planning, property, and public law aspects of delivering the Government’s ambition of Clean Power by 2030.
Date and time - Thursday 12 February 2026 | 10:00am - 11:30am
CPD - 1.5
The UK’s connections regime is undergoing its most significant overhaul in decades. Building on our December webinar and recent updates from the National Energy System Operator, this session will unpack the evolving NESO connections reform timeline and what it means in practice for developers, investors and network operators.
We will cover the gate-based model (Gate 1/Gate 2), the realignment of the existing queue and delivery pipeline, and the latest methodology updates, alongside practical implications for offers, milestones, and project deliverability in 2026–2030. We will also consider routes to resolve disputes (including under the CUSC framework and Ofgem processes) and where public law risk may arise as reforms bed in.
Speakers:
- Jenny Wigley KC (Joint Head of Chambers)
- Richard Turney KC
- Natasha Jackson
- Margherita Cornaglia
- Odette Chalaby
