In this webinar, experts from Burges Salmon will look at how local authorities can buy power direct from renewable generation facilities. The session will cover private wire PPAs and corporate or sleeved PPAs and the different back to back or virtual/synthetic PPA models. The speakers will look at the key pinch-points when putting these arrangements in place and compare the benefits of each model. Lastly, the team will draw on their experience to provide some top tips for those authorities considering these types of contract. The Renewable Energy team at Burges Salmon put in place one of the first back to back corporate PPAs in the UK in 2009 and went on to help Marks and Spencer devise the concept of the virtual or synthetic PPA for green energy in the UK. Since then they have advised on the majority of corporate/sleeved PPAs that have been devised in the UK, acting for many generators, offtakers and funders on these types of arrangements.

Please note, all registrants will be provided with a recording of the webinar, so if you are unable to watch at the stated time then you can do so at a later date.
