The Coronavirus Act 2020 has wrought significant changes to the law of forfeiture in the commercial context.

In this third talk of a series of remote presentations given by Tanfield practitioners, Daniel Dovar and Will Beetson discuss the legal and practical implications of these changes and shall explore the longer term practicality and desirability of forfeiture as a remedy within our fundamentally changed economic landscape.

They shall also discuss other means of enforcement available to landlords in relation to arrears of rent and the ways in which landlords and tenants might work together to mitigate the respective financial impact of Coronavirus.
