As every aspect of our society grapples with the challenge of COVID-19, the demand for guidance from government and other public authorities has never been greater, and nor has the scrutiny it is under. Guidance may not be law, but in some circumstances the judicial review machinery of the Administrative Court has been prepared to step in and rule it unlawful. 

This webinar explores the legal basis and legitimate role for guidance; and the circumstances where the Administrative Court will and will not intervene with guidance, the public law principles it will apply, and the potential remedies (including damages) that are available.
