About Ian Quayle Ian has delivered over 1500 training courses (all property related) for city and regional firms, local law societies, and local authorities. His style and delivery is relaxed but he is able to explain the law and practical issues relating to the training topic in a way that ensures delegates learn or reinforce learning and derive meaningful benefit from the training provided. Feedback is always positive. Training has been provided via in house courses, public courses , and conferences. In addition Ian is prolific in his delivery of webinars on conveyancing related issues for a number of training providers. In addition Ian has delivered live and pre-recorded webinars nationally and internationally for both of the leading legal training providers and continues to do so. Unusually Ian is able to deliver training in both the commercial and residential property fields generating courses on a myriad of topics some of which are of general application and others more specialist and focused. Further courses can be designed to meet the needs of firms rather than being forced to choose from a standard course. In addition to training courses for qualified staff Ian has devised a number of training courses aimed at support staff. |
This first series of webinars examines commonly encountered problems when dealing with commercial leases and is aimed at providing practical advice to busy local authority lawyers,
The webinars will be delivered by Ian Quayle who has over the last 17 years delivered over 1500 courses and webinars to the legal profession working for a number of the major training providers. Ian designed training courses particularly for local authority lawyers having identified particular problems that were being encountered in this area of practice.
The webinars delivered by Ian are engaging, informative and lively. Webinars are littered with real life examples and case studies and interaction is encouraged as time is set aside for questions from delegates. In addition extensive notes are provided for each webinar and delegates can watch recordings for twenty one days after each event.
The cost for two delegates from each local authority is £100.00 plus VAT. Spaces are limited and early booking is recommended.
The dates for the webinars are as follows –
1. Drafting Commercial Leases – tips and traps 13.10.20 at 2pm
Using heads terms and precedents, using guarantees and rent deposits, key clauses, and dealing with unrepresented tenants
The webinar will look at problem transactions commonly encountered in the context of local authority transactions.
2. Management Issues – 15.10.20 at 2pm
Dealing with break clauses, rent reviews, surrender, regearing and surrender.
3. Lease Renewal - 29.10.20 at 2pm
Does the LTA 1954 Act Apply?, negotiating new leases – things to look out for, interim rent, requests for information and an outline of the court process
