This webinar will consider two aspects of procedural reforms to judicial review. First, changes are being introduced at the end of May in the form of new Practice Directions to CPR Part 54. The changes cover claim forms, pleadings, electronic bundles, skeleton arguments, amendments, interventions, regional venues, urgent applications and interim relief.
Secondly, a new Judicial Review Bill was announced in the Queen’s Speech to implement changes to judicial review following the consultation which closed at the end of April. The consultation covered procedural changes to time limits, extensions of time, the approach to grounds of resistance, provision for replies by claimants, and the procedure for interventions.
This webinar will explain the changes which are being introduced this month and consider what further procedural reforms are likely to find their way into the Judicial Review Bill in light of responses to the consultation.
