He/she must have many skills including liaising with senior management, driving change, influencing organisational culture, devising compliance strategies, delivering training, designing and conducting audits, advising on DPIAs and liaising with the Information Commissioner.

On this workshop you will study the importance of this role, the practical key skills required and how to make it work.

This workshop is suitable for DPOs in both the public and privacy sector. It is not about the law. It will analyse the role and duties of the DPO in a practical corporate context including:

  • How to get involved in key decisions
  • How to secure appropriate resources
  • Handling conflicts of interest
